Province unveils proposal for 11 tall towers in Midtown Oakville

Infrastructure Ontario is proposing a transit-oriented community (TOC) in Oakville’s Midtown area, featuring 11 towers between 46 and 59 storeys high, developed by Distrikt Developments. The project aims to create approximately 6,908 residential units and enhance local amenities near the Oakville GO Station. While the plan includes various public spaces and transportation improvements, some local council members and residents oppose it, citing concerns over density and local planning authority.
